sorry you guys i didnt no about using all capital letters new at this computer stuff was wondering why i didnt get any replys if any peoplewant to talk bears cougers i know where to find them i love to call rick
 
Bearmanric, how 'bout telling us about a typical set for calling bears or cougar, if there is a typical set? Spring, fall early am. or later, type of call etc.

yes redfrog here in washington i bear couger dousnt open till august 1 we have clearcuts and mountains when the blueberrys areout i hunt the clearcuts i listen for log breaking or movement or i hunt the ridges down into canyons thebears feed along them ihave johnny stewart 512 612 with remote i have all the tapes i tried the bearcubs indistress and fawn deer tapes a little no luck i called 2bears in with johnny stewart pc7 the bears are out all day that time of year thinking about cds next i like critter calls great sound dan thompson calls will get killer call next rick

I have had great success with the fawn distress,adult deer distress and cub distress. All of the above sounds have called bears in for me and friends that i have taken out bear calling. I just finished my "home made" caller and have over twenty good bear calling sounds on it,some of them are adult doe distress,bear killing an adult whitetail doe,bear killing a whitetail fawn and bear killing cub. I can't wait till fall as i have one relative with a tag and two hunting buddys that drew tags also,the mosquitos and black flies are terrible here right now so i'm waiting for some cooler weather until i get out calling...
 
timberking it soundslike you have some great sounds there ya the last two years i filleted salmon and smoke fishwas very busy im going to get seraos this year im going to try deer tapes and my deer decoy lots of cougers in areas to goodluck rick
 
Timberking, do you have those sounds recorded on a CD or on a tape? I have been following the electronic calling forum and am thinking of building my own caller. My spring hunt was a bust because the Forest Service was doing some controlled burns in a couple of canyons I wanted to hunt in. The smoke prevented me from doing a spot and squawk (you can spot bears a mile or more away). Then the weather changed and clouds filled the canyons. At least it was 10 days away from the telephones. I am starting a new job so I am not sure how much time I will have to build the system, but is you are willing to swap sounds let me know.
 
I have all of my sounds stored on floppy disks,if you would like some of them let me know and i'll send em to ya. I have 43 floppies with three to four sounds per disk just ask for something and i'll see if i have it...
