Hey gents, I wanted to share this new design that Jake and I worked together on that we just finished up. It's a completely modular design that allows you to take multiple calibers to the range in one secure box, utilizing the Apache 2800.

It fully supports and accommodates the largest of magnums unlike a lot of stuff out there, can be personalized in most any color and any caliber. They are SUPER robust and will last a lifetime.

I am really enjoying Jake's products and am glad to have him as a site sponsor!

Here's mine in 338 Lapua and 300WM, got some 300nm coming next!

Nice! How many rounds does it hold? And what's the cost of the trays? Those cases can be bought at harbor freight. I have a few myself for pistols and my Swarovski rangefinder/kestrel

Thanks Kino! I’m glad you like how it turned out!

On the split box shown above, the 300 win side holds 136 and the 338 side holds 115. For the insert only, no case, I’m charging 87 shipped.

I’ve had mine shift around in the truck before, so stackability and a good latch are big deals for me too. That divider idea someone mentioned sounds smart. I’ve been using a Home Safe box for my rounds lately—stays shut, doesn’t rattle, and holds up well even when tossed in and out of the rig. Stuff inside stays put, which gives me one less thing to worry about on rough roads.

IDK, easy workaround would be to remove the tray for the particular rifle you are shooting and close the lid on the other if worried about picking the wrong cartridge. Not a lot of difference between carrying different calibers in cardboard boxes??

I was purely looking at it in a predator hunting situation. Im sure its fine at the range or for storage. But loading mags in the dark, man seems too easy to reach in and grab the wrong caliber by mistake.. especially at 3am morning hunt after 3 hours of sleep and a 5 day work week. Thats also why you never carry AR mags loaded with different calibers as well, even if your buddy says “hey can i stick a couple extra mags in your backpack?” No!

The boxes themselves look awesome

So the split design is primarily made for big magnums as they fit better in the bigger box. It's also designed for match use mostly during daylight! I can see maybe if a person had 6CM and 6.5CM in they someone could make a dumb dumb!
For normal short action calibers the small box is the way to go if someone is concerned.

I just worked with Jake on another new design where a long magnum will fit in the small box. This is super handy to have plenty of magnum ammo on that big game hunt in a solid and secure box.
