HERTER'S SCOPE

Herter's has been out of business for quite a few years....Most of their goods sold under their name were pretty good quality for the time...

There are some collectors that might raise it's value, but otherwise, it's just an old scope.

I still have a few rounds of their .222 brass that I'm saving for a friend, and about 7k of their primers of various sizes that I fully intend to use.

Herters had a lot of folks making the stuff it sold. They had their name put on everything they sold and it was all the absolutely best in the world. Used to buy from them and used a bunch of their stocks. Loved the catalogs and still have one of their bull cook recipe books that is just plain fun reading.

If it's a good clear scope and usuable to you put it on something and shoot it, there is no great value associated to it and it could have been made by a dozen different folks. Someone is doing a reprint of one of their old catalogs, you might be able to find it in there if you can get hold of one. I'd try the local library, they may have it listed on their computers.
