I'm a dyed in the wool H&R owner with 38 rifles, but I have an OE with 3 barrels, 6mm Ackly(rechambered 243), 7mm-08 and 300WinMag, all barrels shoot well with factory ammo, even better with handloads, I sent it back to BPI for a free trigger job when I first got it, the trigger was very heavy at 5½lbs, they reduced it to 3½. Nice thing about them is OTC Bergara barrels which sell for $125-$200 or so, it would be nice if H&R did that. If I were looking at the CVA now, I'd wait to check out the new Apex which will be available next year, an upgraded OE with lots of chamberings and adjustable trigger according the BP Guns and Hunting (Winter 2008) article. Here's a pic of it from Chad Shearer's site.
