Weaver 6.5. - 20

OptIcs planet has a Weaver 6.5-20 x44 mm with AO for $203 with free shipping. Is this a good scope for the price

Have a 3.8-12x44 AO and it has very very clear glass, but it has an aspherical lens which the 6.5 does not have. www.natchezss.com has the 6.5-20x44 for $168 or $174, depending on reticle...but probably about $14 shipping on it.

Should be a good scope....year or two ago ATK discontinued the Federal Intensity line of scopes which basically still exists as the Weaver 40/44 line of scopes. ATK owns Weaver too. Lot of Intensity scopes were sold at discounted prices by Natchez and Sportsmans Guide because they were pretty good scopes.

ATK also owns another line of scopes called Nitrex and many of its models have been discontinued. These are Weaver Super Slams or Grand Slams. Great buys on these discontinued scopes at Natchez too. Very good scopes with very good glass. You might want to check out the Nitrex TR1 or TR2 scopes at www.natchezss.com

Those Intensity Optics scopes rock!

I wish I would have bought more than the 6 I already own.

If it's the Weaver equivalent, I think you will be getting a good scope.

Although, for the money you're looking to spend, I would spend $50 more and buy a Vortex Viper.
