I haven't seen T shot in a factory load in years. Not saying it doesn't exist anymore, but I highly doubt it.

Not to hijack but have they ever made T-shot in lead and sold it commercially? (like Fed, Win, etc)

I always thought that they came up with the T-shot size when they came out with steel shot.

Can anyone add clarity to this?

OK.
Here is a sample of the charts I'm finding.

You can see in the three blocks it says Lead, Buckshot and Steel.

Tim, when you say way back, do you mean like early 1900's?

Thanks guys!

I wish I was set up to reload these or new someone locally that was... that TT would be some BAD stuff coming out of a 3" shell, 28" barrel with the dead coyote choke (my soon to be setup) IMHO...

We loaded T shot in lead for several years from about 1980-1985. We got the shot from Ballistic Products in 10# bags. It was magnum lead ... not coated or plated.

I killed a lot of yotes with F Buck, stuff carries the freight a long ways.

If you are finding yourself shooting $100 worth of buckshot a year, then you may consider buying yourself a used Mec Sizemaster off of ebay, things will just get better from there.

LOL !! Me either. I've just heard the old timers talk about waterfowel hunting like in the 50,60 & 70's.

BTW ..1980 is early 1900's for me .

When I was reloading BPI's lead T shot I used a shotgun primer tray to quickly count the pellets.

Two T shot pellets stacked in each open primer hole. There was right at 4 T shot pellets per 1/8 oz. Just put masking tape over the holes you don't want pellets in.

I just scooped the primer tray into the shot that I had put in a box. Then held the primer tray at a angle and all of the shot would roll off of the primer tray back into the box, except the two T pellets that were sitting in each primer hole in the tray.

I killed a ton of coyotes with lead T shot reloaded in Federal Gold Medal 2-3/4" Target Hulls using BPI wads.

In a 3" hull you should be able to get right at 60 pellets in it to make a 1-7/8 oz load.
