Case lube?

I'm starting to get tired of dealing with the mess of case lube and a lube pad. Dors anyone use something like the Hornady one-shot case lube or something similar? Does it work pretty well?

I just put a drop of case lube on my thumb and forefinger and lube them that way, I like it better than a lube pad but your mileage may vary.

I've used Hornady One Shot for many years. I don't seem to have any trouble with it. Haven't used my pad for a coon's age.

You can't completely remove the mess, because lube is just a little messy. What I like, is to buy some lanolin(sheep fat), and dissolve it in 99% isopropanoly, and put it in a spray bottle. Total cost shouldn't be over $10 and it will literally last you the rest of your life. I put my cases in a ziplock bag, spray in a couple times, and shake the bag. Let it dry on a cookie tin, and you are all lubed up.

Edit: From my understanding this is all the dillon case lube is, and I wouldn't be surprised if it is what most of the other spray lubes are.

+2 on Imperial, very good stuff. Although, I use one shot on occasion if I have alot of 223 brass to do. I usually spray it the night before and resize the next day. I can't say I like it that well cause it leaves your brass sticky feeling and its a pain to remove. Works pretty good though. I have stuck a case on occasion, but thats not a big deal, just a pain in the a--. Imperial is the best though.

I use the One Shot lube almost exclusively... The instructions say to let it dry for one minute before using...The couple of time I let it sit for over an hour, it seemed to be harder to full length size my brass,,,no stuck cases, but just harder on the press handle..

Since I always tumble my brass prior to priming, the residue has never been an issue..

Hornady One Shot lube is all I have been using for the past several years. Very easy and wipes off with a rag. Won't be using anything else anytime soon.

Another vote for One Shot. Not saying it's best, but I've had no trouble with any case, including the wssm and 300 RUM.

And your wallet lighter, way over priced, and you will say worth every penny, the sprays are one third the price and work just as well. ed

97% of the time I use Lee Lube..a little goes a long ways, never a stuck case.
the other 3% of the time Hornady One Shot, I have stuck a case with it once but I believe it was operator error..after reading the directions that say (if I remember correctly) clean your dies of any other lube FIRST, oh and then give the dies a little spritz before you begin, and no more problems. The One Shot spray is much faster when I`m setting up to load a few hundred or more.

Yukon, Wishbone, and 204 Ar are all right on. Buy some Hornady One Shot and forget about all the other HS, Get some caliber specfic wooden reloading trays, and start saving a few carboard shoe box tops with a thin lip. This is to catch the over spray. With the cases in the wooden tray, place it into the center of cardboard shoe box top. Use the plastic straw that comes with the spray can, this will help you direct your spray better, and you will use less product. Lay the box top on the palm of your hand and givem a even shot withthe other. The wooden tray and cardboard box top will absorb the one shot and be dry to the touch, with seaming no residue in only a minute of so. Happy resizing.
