value of a remington 600

well the ACTUAL on paper value of a Rem 600 .308 in like new condition is about $500. But they are something of a collecters item now, so i have seen like new guns selling for upwards of $700.

fair market value on it (depending on exact condition) is probly $475-$500 IMO

I guess there were only about 315 made in .223 caliber. To a well funded collector it may be of interest.
For myself there are too many nice guns in a lower price bracket that will do the same job.

Talk about. Kick yourself. In 1966 I told the guy in the gunshop to get me the first 223 he could. As I ha access to all the free ammo I could shoot. The rifle that showed up was a Rem 600. I paid $90. With a Weaver 4x installed and hauled straight to the base armoure and had him remoove the rib and stus and round the stock so it looked like a real rifle. 44yrs later I.m still shooting it and it has piled up enough fur to more than what I lost in ruining the collectors value. Shot the 223 barrel out and its still laying fur down as a 6x45.
