I am sure its been reported before, but I would like to add my $.02 for the T-PostStepper Fence "Climber".

It's not often that a product comes along that is truly outstanding. But here is an exception.

I am very short and crossing barb-wire fences has always been a problem for me. While going under, I tear my clothing, and while trying to go over...well you get the picture! Ouch!

The T-PostStepper is fantastic and solves the problem. I used it yesterday for the first time and can't rave enough about the results. What a problem solver.

HERE-HERE!!!!
while in AZ at the big PM hunt we used Michael McCasland's to a great extent. what a gadget!
here in MI when you come to a fence its the end of the road, you don't cross them.

SHAMELESS

That is a great invention for climbing those steel stakes, but is there anything out there for climbing a page wire fence with wooden posts?
I know using the page wire fence to climb is sometimes dificult and can get wobbley and in some instances you can pulled the staples out that hold the wire to the wooden post. I had an idea about making something up like a mini version of the tree climber, just the base, just big enough that it will fit around a wooden fence post. Its just an idea at this point but I may have to manufacture something up to give it a try. Anyone think that this maybe a good or practical idea. Just make it big enough so you could get some solid footing on the post to get over, maybe 2 of the might be a better idea one for each side of the fence.

I work as a land surveyor, and we have been using the T-post Stepper for several years. In addition to preventing ripped jeans, there is another advantage which may be of help to us as hunters: landowners are much more receptive to the idea of letting us enter their property when they know we won't damage their fences by climbing over them.

I have shown this nifty gadget to many landowners and they have all been quite impressed. Most want to know where they can get one.

I can recommend this product very highly, and I suggest showing it to landowners when asking for permission to hunt on their property. I believe it will help to show that you are a concientious hunter and may tip the balance in your favor when looking for new places to hunt.

These little guys are a must have for anybody that needs to regularly cross steel cross post fences. One of these things will quickly pay for itself in torn cloths alone.

Quite a number of years ago my hunting partner Bill was kind enough to give me one, I was impressed right away. Its great fun to bring a new hunter out, walk up to a fence, drop one of these in place and hop over the fence with little trouble. Then watch them do the same thing. I've yet to see anyone not impressed.

There is a hidden use for them. Occasionally you have to hop a fence on soft ground and the post sinks. Simply turn the stepper around, put your car jack under it and jack the post back up where it belongs.

The stepper does impress ranchers, but there is another more impressive fence climber. I frequently use my stepladder to get over a fence. Bill and I used our ladders one time when a rancher was watching, he was extremely impressed. It was so smooth he could tell we'd done it alot. Going over his fence practicly without touching it, he was very impressed.

I am going to have to get a stepper, while turkey huntijng last spring I crossed a new barbed wire fence just by pushing down the wire swinging my leg over. well it cost me 10 stiches and a lost day of hunting.
