Ridge Reaper Boots

First impression is they are very comfortable. Good arch support. They look and feel very durable but very, very light. The reason I purchased these is out of all the boots i tried on at Cabelas, these felt the most natural. They don't have the feel of a normal boot, they are more like tough sneakers with a ton of ankle support.

I went and gave them alittle field testing today and they did great. I didn't give them a break in period, I just put them on and went for it. I did about a 3 mile hike and my feet are not sore or hurting at all. The boots flex great but always keep your ankle supported. They lace up very fast and hold tight to your foot. They have the feel more of a very good sneaker and not a boot. The only thing i've noticed is when i walk, they make a sqeeky noise a bit. Not overly loud but noticeable when it's just me and the dogs. Overall, i give them a 5 out of 5 for now but since they are very new only time will tell. I will update with any pros and cons as they come.

They look nice, and I like the idea of doing a review. But I dont know if I could ever put anything on my feet but my good ol' Danner Pronghorns. I can hike all day in them, even sleep with them on.lol

Seem to be based off "tactical" boots. I like UA clothing, be curious to hear how they hold up. Are you a 10's of miles per week kinda guy? For the $200 I hope they hold up very well since boots geared toward military service can be had for more around $100.

I'll try to answer on the questions in 1 post.
Turbo, I've got a pair of "muck" boots and i use them for yard chores when it's muddy. If it's the same one's i'm thinking about, they are great but not the same kind of boot as the ua boots. We have a dry climate and when hunting i prefer just a good ole' hunting boot.

JDF, they seam to breathe great. I generally always wear 2 pairs of socks. The outer layer was sweaty but the inner and my feet were bone dry.

shoes, I'm more of about a 5 miles a week kind of guy. I don't wear boots out too quick but purchase about a pair a year. They are based off of a "tactical" boot on looks but as far as feel. They feel just like a hunting boot. It will be interesting to see how they hold up.
