Crimping Barnes 62 gr TSX

Raspack,

Agreed - I'd rather not crimp, but I have read about bullet slip and wanted to get some advice from others who have loaded these heavier bullets and shot them out of an AR.

It seems the majority vote is to seat the bullet where it's most accurate and not worry about it. I will likely follow this advice and monitor things carefully when my Rock River ATH arrives. I don't plan on mag dumping, so hopefully I won't have an issue.

Thanks

With the copper bullet being harder than the brass case, you probably aren't really crimping anyway. More like smashing the brass between the bullet and the die. Might even get the opposite effect you are after. If you want a bit more neck tension polish the expander to be a hair undersized.
