predator vest

Has anyone heard of a predator vest that has rods built in the back that you pull out for a backrest? A buddy said he seen it in a flyer but can't remember which company.

That's weird. I just did a search for it too and couldn't find it. I looked in the predator clothing section and saw the Foxpro Furtakes vest but not the Cabela's vest. I was in the Cabela's in Sydney, NE last weekend and saw one. They may have discontinued it. It was pretty pricy at $140. You might take a look at some of Cabela's turkey vest. Some of those have the built in chairs. Also, go visit the Other Calling Equipment forum of PM. Someone recently did a review of Cabela's Kickstand vest (I may have had the name wrong or was thinking of a similar vest).

OK, you won't believe this but I have one coming to me. The online store and the other stores are two different things. They are out of stock on line at the on line warehouse but they are still available in some stores. Call the stores and see if SKU # 03486696 is in stock and if it is they will ship it to you. That SKU is for the Seclusion 3D Open Country camo. Club Visa members also get $5.00 shipping. You can do a store search on the Cabelas site to get phone numbers of different stores. Hurry before they are gone.

When I they told me that they weren't going to get any till fall I went ahead and ordered the Foxpro vest. Thanks for the heads up though.

How do you like it? I have seen a few people give reviews on it that aren't the greatest. Saying the sewing isn't the greatest and the buckles for the seat are cheap. What is your review of the vest. Foxpro usually is good quality IMO, but I am interested in what you think of the vest, cuz that will make up my mind whether to wait fort the Cabelas one in fall, or order the Foxpro vest myself. Thanks

Does Cabelas have the new and improved vests, or do they have the older style. I looked on fox pro website and they are not in stock currently. So just curious.....

Use the foxpro vest til cabelas gets some more speedy yote vests. They are well worth the money. Ive only had mine for a few weeks and the only 2 downfalls are you have to take it off in a vehicle, and no snow camo. due to the popularity I'd bet cabelas comes out with one soon. You can fit everything but the kitchen sink in 'em

The statement stating the Foxpro vest are fixed is far from true! I'm on my 3rd vest and the stitching is not holding as well as the zippers failing. I continue to use it every hunt because I still like it that much for calling.

Haven't gotten it yet. Coming tomorrow. I got mine from all predator calls. Foxpro still had it labeled as back ordered.

I'm so sorry to hear that Passmore. Does your vest have the "Made in the USA" tag on the front? As far as I know, that's the only way to tell whether its a new vest or not.

Thanks for the info Coykill!

I did call around as suggested. As of today, Cabelas located in Rogers MN has 11 vests in stock. Use item number IK-933774. The SKU number you provided didn't work for some reason?

Make sure they are sending you a Cabelas Speedy "Yote Kick Stand Vest" with the item number I provided. My new Cabelas Yote vest is on the way to Michigan!

Thanks again!

Strikeforce,

Yes the 3rd vest has made in the US on it. I love the vest just wish it was more durable. I put things to use and am not easy on things but when you buy something and use it in it's designed purpose I think it should hold up. Especially for the $$$

Savage204, your welcome. I ordered from Pennsylvania so maybe the SKU 3's are different from store to store. Glad you have one coming. I can't wait to try it out.

I agree with that 100%. I use mine almost daily and haven't had any problems with it. I thought no one could possibly be harder on equipment than I am. LOL!
