Hey guys I'm looking for in the field experiences with these scopes, looking for the pros n cons between the nikoplex and the bdc plex, hunting coyotes and ground hogs

Does the BDC come with regular elevation (Moa clicks) turrents and the Niko plex come with the yardage turrents?

I'm leaning towards the BDC style since currently I'm shooting 60gr V-Max in a 20inch Bushmaster...seems like it would be the best of both worlds, using the reticle circles for quick shots, yet if time allows could dial in the clicks for precise shots on ground hogs, and would not be limiting myself to 55gr bullets to support a turrent marked in 100yrd increments

What are your thoughts?

Both friends I hunt with just bought that same riflescope. I opted for the monarch 4-16x42 with mildot. They bought the 4-16 bdc m-223. They sighted it in at 100 yards and shot 3" groups at 300 immediately afterwards. I was quite impressed with the system. They were shooting crappy 55gr ammo. I feel like it is a real quick system. Their turrets were normal adjusting clicks. The m-223 with Nikoplex only comes with yardage marks on the turrets. I reload so I went with the mildot monarch. The m-223 with Nikoplex will only allow 55gr bullets while the bdc works best with 55gr bullets, you could use nikons spot on ballistic system and shoot any bullet you want. Clarity was great though.

I have the 3x12 M-223 on one of my coyote AR's with the rapid-reticle. It is supposed to be set up for 55gr poly tipped pills at 3240fps. With my 55 gr V-Max's over benchmark at just over 3200 I can tell you it is spot on. I like turning the turrets better than the BDC, YMMV.

The Nikon 4-16 is a heck of a scope and right now Nikon has a big Promotion on LongRange rifle scopes. Definitely a great deal, up to $100 off on some scopes.
C.Jay, Nikon's Spot On will allow you to adjust any BDC reticle scope that you have. Best of all Spot On is free to use. I encourage guy's to take a look at the BDC Reticle and then dial your rifle, scope and ammo in with Spot On to achieve maximum accuracy. If you are a handloader there are even G7 drag tables on Spot On. Definitely something for everyone.
Drop me a note if you have any question's.

Would seem like a tough choice, wish you could get both elevation turrents lol!

I have not seen any $100 off any "M" series scopes, that would just be the icing on the cake
