Coyote decoy?

So I have my decoy named "Chuck" which is a stuffed animal dog toy that I have affixed above my caller. I have recently had a couple stands where coyotes are appearing when using coyote vocals, but they don't commit or react to distress. Does anyone have success with one of the many coyote decoys like a Kojo?

I hated every "coyote" decoy I ever met. PIA no matter what. Dave got a stuffed coyote which was horrible...heavy, fragile, scared dogs really well. Best use was to bolt it to truck just for laughs. Another pal bought a full size dog decoy. Even put a fur ball in its mouth...told him it sucked, but he was sure it was going to be the ticket. Dragged that stupid thing around for several hunts just to prove he was wrong... Its the flocked one with the noisey legs that fall off just after the tail piece falls off. Its in the garage collecting dust.

Mojo critter is great and so are the Foxpros. Dogs try and eat them so bring your shotgun. They are light weight and easy. Be careful... they are fragile but will last with care.

I use the Lone Howler decoy by Flambeau. And I place it down wind of my FoxPro call. I also place a shaking rabbit decoy next to the FoxPro. The coyote decoy has more than once helped intice real coyotes from circling down wind and steers them on a line to the caller. I believe it works well as an attraction and also a distraction. I don't go on stand without it.

All you will ever need is a feather on a stick. It will never scare a coyote off like a coyote decoy will. Ive used them all and dumped them all and went back to a feather in the wind.

I have used the mojo critter a couple of times, when I saw one look at it wasn't interested at all. The decoy was in the wheat field, the coyote acted like something was up, and was headed out, maybe it saw me.

I've used a Mojo Critter for I don't know how long now. Dogs just love it! Small, light and easy to set up. Batteries actually last fairly long too. I've even had a lil hawk swoop in and attack my Critter before - thought that's was pretty hilarious. If it works for hawks, you know darn well it'll work for coyotes!

This is what I used. I got an old pelt from one of the guys on the forum. Used and old coyote skull to fill in head. used a small pool float and folded it and stuffed it inside, then blem it up. a couple broom sticks for the legs and wa-la! Meet "Cujo." kind of bulky to carry in but light as a feather.

Im laughing so hard right now looking at those decoys! I hate carrying my MoJo Critter around let alone one of those things. If it works, use it! I know my critter works. Had a raccoon grab ahold of it last night!

As for the mojo I have noticed since I started using it those coyotes will run right to it I shot one with the rifle at 13 yards! They seem to not stop to just run right up to it.I haven't used it for that long might get different experiences with it as time go's by.Also had coyotes run up to the foxpro to.

Man this is great! Those dekes are wild. Prettu creative with the pool float....seriously though, how would a yote deke work...especially during mating season.

Man, magurohunter, don't tell Wile E. that. It'd hurt his feelings.
