Carlson's Rifled choke?

Has any one here used the Carlson's rifled choke that they make for slugs? I have a tactical shotgun that has a smooth bore and I'm wanting to use it on some hunts w/slugs...just curious if the rifled choke will help improve accuracy?

Try the federal truball rifled slugs they are extremely accurate out of my wifes smooth bore. Infact they are as accurate as my rifled barrel. If I had it to do over again I would not buy a rifled barell I would get a smooth bore and shoot these out of it.

What choke constriction are you using with the truball slugs?

I use improved with slugs. You can use anything except x full and turkey but I find the more open chokes provide better accuracy with slugs.

with rifled choke you use sabot.

THANKS!!!

The only rifled choke tube I have ever used is the Browning. It shot really well with plain old Winchester slugs. At 50 yards I got ragged cloverleafs. This was with a red dot. I live in a rifle state and only intended to use the slug gun on a military base, but an ice storm killed the trip. I still haven't shot a deer with the gun.

This is my Mossberg 590A1 that Carlson added choke tubes too. They all work very well. The rifle choke works great,
This is the breacher in the picture. I was surprise how well the XXFull tube worked with a 20in barrel.

I used the Carlson rifled choke on my 12 ga. Benelli M2, shooting Brenneke 2 3/4" K.O. slugs on an Iowa whitetail hunt and the combo worked very well. I felt pretty confident out to 100 yards.

That's GREAT to know....I just ordered the rifled choke tube and picked up five boxes of the 2 3/4" Brenneke Green Lightning slugs...looking forward to giving them a try!!!
