I'm just starting out calling/hunting 'yotes and picked up a "Strictly Business" plus one set. It occurred to me that one of the locations I'll be hunting is stocked with Pheasants for hunting. Would it:
a) be a good idea to emulate an animal that is ubiquitous in the area and likely a favorite meal?
b) be possible to get a pheasant distress hand call?
Unlike other distress calls I've heard the pheasant seems to start with a lower pitched drawn out sound and then end with an abrupt higher pitched sound (almost like a small mammal distress sound played backwards?). I haven't been able to get any of my calls to sound like this, but I also don't really know what I'm doing yet...
Thanks in advance!
