Looking into getting a Savage model 11 trophy predator in 243 win, anyone have any experience with one? And if so what's the good and bad?

Since nobody else has chimed in I will give you what wisdom I have on the matter (although not much).
I bought a Savage 11 in .243 a few years ago. It didn't have the accutrigger but I can tell you it can shoot MOA or even a little better. I am looking at a used Savage 111 in .270 right now. I just have to find the money that my wife doesn't know about. If the price is right you can't go wrong.

I have a model 11 trophy hunter in the .243 and it does have the accutrigger, I thought all model 11's hadem?, mine also shoots very well, trigger, action, the rifle is great, the composite stock is a little weak, I steel plated and glass bedded mine, other than that they are a good buy,

I've had lots of the savages and I really like them. Things to know: The actions (except for the target and Magnum) are the same, even with minor variations the Axis are the same. Mostly the differences are in the stock and triggers. Accutriggers are nice, the target accutrigger is very nice and will fit on the Axis and regular accutrigger guns. The newer center feed guns feed better than the stagger feed guns, the new blind magazine guns use the same magazine metal (internal) as the ones with the removable magazine, they just do not use the bottom metal. Take a good look at the stock, that is what you are paying extra money for mostly. Larry

It will do the job to at least 700 yards. I own nothing but Savage rigs.
The predator .243 will be a very good choice.

I have a Model 11 in 6.5 Creedmoor. I have no complaints at all. Although I did replace the tupperware stock with a Boyds and the bolt handle with a PT&G.

Model 11 Trophy Hunter XP owner here. Mine is a 7mm-08, and is pretty fun to shoot. Bolt could be a little smoother, but still a good gun in the 500 (or sub-500, if you can find a deal) range.
