Ordered from Amazon on Sunday, received today. Rushed home to play with it, etc...

So sad...box was torn so first red flag.
Second red flag, item not wrapped in plastic bag when I opened the inner box.
Third red flag, rings attached. What?! Rings aren't included!
Fourth red flag, batteries installed. Again, what? Batteries aren't included.

I got to check one of these units out at SHOT last week so I was excited to buy one for coyote hunting at night.

Packed everything up and started the return process. Will drop off tomorrow at UPS and wait a week for my refund.

Truly disappointed in Amazon...they are the ones that fulfilled the order. Expected better.

It could be worse...when I ordered my Photon they were on back order everywhere and I had to wait almost 2 months, but it was worth the wait. Have you looked locally? I have a local gun shop that stocks Photons at the same price as online. If you haven't already, I recommend acquiring an external 850nm IR illuminator. I also used a Burris PEPR QD mount attached to the scope backwards to put the eyepiece closer to my eye so I could maintain a more normal shooting position.

I think you will love the scope...Good luck!

Amazon has been the best I have seen for CS, especially when they goof. Mistakes happen, there are humans in the supply chain. Call them today and you will have a good replacement by Saturday I bet.

When I decided to take the plunge into digital NV, the X-Sight was not working well at all for night vision, and many of the advertised features did not work at all. The scope was released before all the bugs were worked out and a lot of guys sent them back for a refund. Apparently, they have upgraded the software to the point where most of the features work and it is ok for night vision. I don't have any personal experience with the X-Sight, just read a lot about it. A lot of folks were so upset over the deal that they vowed never to buy from ATN again.

If the X-Sight worked as advertised, it would have been awesome. Lots of nice features built in...mount built-in, DVR, WiFi etc. I have thought about buying one just to check it out for myself, but I am afraid if I found a good deal that it would be an old version or a returned on.

I am very happy with my Photon and don't regret the purchase one bit.

No one local has it. Amazon issued the credit within seconds of me dropping it off at UPS. Primary arms is showing a similar scope at $129 which is far below the $500 everyone else has it for. Probably save more money and wait till I can afford a thermal.

I called Optics Planet this afternoon and explained my dissatisfaction with Amazon. I asked if I chose to order from them (OP), would the scope be in NEW condition, with all contents as shown in the picture.

CS rep said not only that but they'd discount it down to $400 and include free shipping. Saved $100 and on shipping. Should be here next week.

So my impatience got the better of me and I ordered it. Guess I'll start saving for a thermal scope...
