Time for a new portable hunting chair. Recommendations?

I've had a chair like this style for many years, but it is finally falling apart and I need a new chair. I don't generally pack it very far, usually pull it out of the truck and walk less than 100 yards. If I go further I do without a chair.

I want back support (so no stools) and camo, light, collapses but no disassembly/reassembly. Anybody got a little chair they really like?

I have some three leg folding chairs that are camo colored that I got at BiMart for $9 that I used for duck hunting and coyotes last year. They are comfortable, hold up well and fold into a small compact bundle. For coyote hunting I decided I don't need the back as I'm not sitting that long and have gone to a three leg stool but I have two of the chairs hanging in my van for camp chairs and one in the cargo hold of the duck boat for duck hunting where I spend all day sitting.

Sorry I don't know how to transfer a catalog picture so here's a link to one like I use.

When I do use a chair I use the Cabelas Predator Lounger. I just bought another one a couple weeks ago as they were on sale. Really comfortable, and I sit low enough in it that I can comfortably lay my shotgun across and down my leg with out it sliding or falling off.
Gets me tight into brush or down trees. Ive been using it more and more for turkeys also

DOWN SIDE I'm 6'4" so getting out of this sucks. I kinda have to roll out of it onto my knees, but its a trade off for comfort

LMAO! Now that's funny!

Thanks for all the input guys.

I went with this "ALPS OutdoorZ Rhino MC Hunting Stool" from Amazon for $28. It was a little more than I wanted to spend but looks sturdy. I decided to try a tripod seat this time. My current seat has 4 feet and sometimes wasn't stable depending upon the terrain. This tripod should self balance out.

I bought a second one to have as a spare. For me, a chair has to have 3 things: it must be lightweight. I must be off the ground, and it must swivel. The chair I leave at home because it's too heavy is of no use to me. I'm 62 yo, have hsd 25 surguries under general anastheia, and am permanently disabled, so none of that turkey chair lounger/recliner stuff for me. Lastly, I need to be able to swivel. They don't always show up where you think they will.

No straight trees here.

Just funnin' ya, 22. What works great for one, not so much for another in a different type of terrain. For instance, I'd love the swivel tripod obviously is perfect for cmatera and hehunts, but I tried a tripod years ago in the sandy soil of south Texas only to have one leg sink into a gopher hole and wound up on the ground, almost in a cactus patch.

I have settled on a child's camp chair which is perfect height to allow elbow placement on knees for an extremely solid shooting platform. Unfortunately, Academy no longer has these and I haven't located a source. Fortunately I did buy an extra one and have been able to patch the original so as to extend it's life.
Chair has a (slightly too) low back, is very light and easy to carry and four legs for stability in softer ground.

ETA: By the way, excellent thread. Gives us an idea what is out there in order to make a much more intelligent selection. I might just have to give the tripod a second try and be more careful in placement of the feet.

Stick with what you are used to and like. I love the dove hunting stools for stability in uneven ground. The price is pretty nice too.

https://www.farmandfleet.com/products/736642-mac-sports-camo-turkey-seat.html This is similar to the Browning chair. Great back support, if not using a bi-pod like me, I can curl up real good and use my knees/legs to support and lock in rifle for a very steady shot. I can also swivel very well in it. Keeps you up off of ground yet not sticking up to far. Easy to fold up and carry. I have a strap to keep it folded up as well as secure a music stand I use to get call up of off ground. There are a few chairs like this on the market.

the hammock is more comfortable than anything else i have tried. i am about 205lbs. and have not had any issues with it in 2 or 3 seasons i have had it. i have never noticed any noise coming from it though. i will have to see if i can find that video you was talking about
