Tripod rest that clamps on to the gun?

Ok I have seen a few pictures of these tripods that clamp on to the gun or the gun actually attaches to it. They look like a big pod or something just instead of the v to rest the front of the rifle on its clamped on or rifle is attached to it. It will hold the rifle off the ground without u touching it. Just wondering how these are vs a bypod and who makes them?

I have one I use for other things, tried it on stand, just a hot mess, didn't like it at all.

Hot mess huh? Gotta say I’m fond of them but never found them attractive.

Heavy, cumbersome, awkward, slow. Steady but that's all it has going for it. Found the rigid attach tripod setup generally just a PITA on a coyote stand. Just about unworkable for me on a sidehill - which is most of the stands I make - coyotes coming from either side and that thing was a nightmare. Only used it most of one day and it sure felt good to leave it in the Jeep when I got tired of messing with it.

I don’t care for it in the field either. Pretty fun at the range.

I don’t carry anything but a call and a rifle with a 6-9” harris on it to the stand. Everywhere I call is overwatch style. Easy prone shooting.

They sure look sturdy but I can't imagine packing one around. Looks awfully cumbersome and heavy to pack around unless you spend a small fortune on carbon fiber tripods and such.

The company is Kopfjager Industries, as well as ZRO Delta previously known as Alamo 4 Star.

Both are great products and definitely have their place, I've used both the Reaper grip as well as the ZRO Delta DCLW HEAD-S, both daytime and night time hunting. If you don't mind carrying them, and can "handle" the additional weight they're a great piece to have. Especially night hunting when you can literally vice your rifle into position and sit, stand, or kneel freely scanning without have to reach for your rifle when u need to. Below is a video of the A4S now ZRO Delta head S review I did, and below that, I'll post a night video, and in the opening scene I'm running the Reaper Grip standing with my rifle mounted and actually pull a double from that "standing" position using the Reaper Grip.

Both units definitely have their place with what we do, if you need or want any more insight based on our use with these products, you can call, pm, or post up.
