.240 Tomahawk?

Who has any experience with this round?

It's exactly what I was trying to find, a 6-6.8 with a 40 degree shoulder. Brass can be made with 6.8 and fireformed or with 6 Hagar brass run through a 240T die and no firing needed.

I'm trying to decide 22" or 24", barrel will be made from a Black Hole Weaponry blank. Focusing on 85gr-95gr bullets.

I spoke to John at Keystone this morning. He said it has 37gns of capacity and is basically a 6br. Thinking about one at 20" plus my can, and slinging the new 90gn Sierra Tipped Game King for yotes/deer/hogs. Torn between that and the ease of just a vanilla 6.5grendel with the Federal 90gn TNT varmint factory ammo. Either would be an improvement over the .223.

someone needs to make a dasher case AR 15, we have the WSSM's, why can't a standard bolt face AR work, 37 grains is only 2 grains more than my DTI, maybe only 1.5 grains.

I'm looking for more speed than a 6.5 in an AR can get me and I want a 6mm ready for longer range coyotes. Plus with the 240T having the option of getting all sorts of 6.8 brass or 6 Hagar with no fire forming needed is a plus, and John has dies available so I don't think I could go wrong.

John said he can get a barrel made for $275 and I see on the Colombia/BHW/True Sporting Arms site that they have polygonal twist blanks on sale for cheap in the True Sporting Arms section, 6mm for $46, I'm a bit confused if these are BHW blanks, the equivalent or some cheap knockoffs... I'm not a lawyer and I have no idea what they're doing with all sorts of brands on one site but if I can get a custom barrel spun up with BHW rifling that's exactly what I'm looking for.

I was really torn between WSSM and wildcat, I didn't like that there are so few options with the WSSM. I already had the barrel and upper picked out and I couldn't use them for WSSM.

Ok, just got off the phone with Columbia River Arms and the blanks they have on sale are the same blanks they use to make BHW barrels, win win, get a custom BHW barrel for cheaper and it sould only take around 3 weeks instead of 3 months.

I was notified of a possible defect and to not shoot the ones on the way right now. They said as more information comes to them they'll email it out.

Good afternoon 6mm Hagar Shooters,

Over the weekend, we were contacted by a customer who received an abnormal percentage of scrap brass in his 6mm Hagar shipment. We’ve been in contact with Hornady and they said that when it comes to special one-time runs such as this, naturally there’s a chance the scrap rate could be higher.

Please carefully sort your brass, as we're sure all of you do, and if you believe you have a significantly larger amount of unsafe and unloadable pieces than you typically find from Hornady, please contact us for steps to remedy the situation. Both Hornady and Creedmoor Sports want to make sure you’re happy.

Thank you and enjoy your 6mm Hagar Brass!!!

Recoil Magazine built a 240 T-Hawk several years ago.
It was a pretty good article on it.
I think it was called " The 1000 yrd AR"
