Anschutz 1771 .222 Rem

I have a feeling I'm gonna get an Anschutz 1771 .222 Rem in my sights and pull the trigger on a rifle I can't afford. But when I get in to a new adventure, I have a long rap sheet for getting in over my head. I could be a lot $$$ poorer and Anschutz richer right now 'cept for a few pesky, unresolved details. Anschutz is renowned for its legendary accuracy, and I love accuracy. But it's twisted at 1:9. From my .222 Rem research, the .222 Rem established its famed accuracy with 1:14 twist. My guess is Anschutz had long range shooting with heavy-for-caliber bullets in mind with its 1:9 twist. Since I ain't a small bore expert (I'm still trying to ID my area of expertise), I've figured that I had better get knowledge from experts -that'd be you guys- before I drop money I can't afford to drop. Does Anschutz have its 1771 twisted in for .222 Rem accuracy?

After I get the Anschutz 1771 resolved, I'm gonna get to diggin' a deeper hole with a Zephyr II .22 WMR. I'd already be feeling light wind in my gun safe, 'cept no one has a Zephyr II in stock. I do have my name on Zephyr II retailers' waiting lists. I'm on the direct honcho's waiting list: Steyr. But I have yet to feel the wind.

Small game & predator hunting is a big $$$ sport & I ain't yet looked in to predator calls.

Ya, you and me both on the Zepher, why they announce them and almost never have is beyond me unless they ran into a defect and taking their time to correct it
