I sense a change in the wind

One of my clients is Just Cause Solutions. They specialize in suppressed ammunition, especially the 8.6 Blackout. I spoke with him this morning and as far as he's concerned this is already a done deal and he's ramping up production of his suppressed ammunition as well as a couple other companies we know in the industry. I told him I'd be excited if it is, but I'm not overly confident personally. However, these people, with a lot more money and skin in the game than I have are already betting large sums of money it'll pass completely............

Never heard of them. Ill look them up. Curious if they do ss 458socom ammo. Looking qt ballistics, id really like to have a 458 socom bolt action, if i could find such a rifle in bolt action with a short barrel, and readily available dactory ammo. Already have a .46 cal can.

As far as I know Justin doesn't make 458 Socom yet. That's something which Paul over at Maker Bullets has told me a bunch about. He is also one of my clients. Maker makes the bullets but I'm not sure who's loading up the subsonic ammo for it. I think Justin (Just Cause Solutions) is working a new load for 338 ARC right now. You could always give him a call to express your interest though so he knows it's something people are looking for. The website I built for him is justcauseusa.com

So a 8% sales tax and 10% muffler tax? Gov just can't stop stealing from us.
Per Western Criminology Review 8(2), 44–57 (2007) Criminal Use of Firearm Silencers*
Conclusion? Less than 0.1% of firearm crimes were 'mufflers' used. " With silencer prosecutions in 13 or 14 of the 18 prosecutions ...sic the silencer was not used in any way during the crime. " Over a 5 yr period. 4 'uses' in 6000 cases!
I'll repeat - Gov just can't stop stealing from us.

Parasite - /păr′ə-sīt″/ noun
One who lives off of, feeds off of, habitually takes advantage of, lawyers writing, passing legislation, to benefit Lawyers and Government, without making any useful return.
.

Is the 10% tax on suppressors in lew of the Pittman/Robertson 11% or added above that? Either way it is better than the $200 and application paperwork.

I agree they should not be regulated at all, just like a muzzle break, but getting off the NFA list would be a big win. My biggest benefits would be ease of buying without all my trust members having to be run through the hassle again and the ability for <21 year old hunters and relatives to use them without my presence.
BTW, I’m not holding my breath!
