And I am still have issues with the batch of 300 Blackout I loaded a couple of years ago. I thought I would use them up but not yet. 2 misfired tonight, but still got one.

Ended up getting a sow that was around a 100 pounds I would guess.

I guess I am just going to have to switch to some other factory rounds I have and forget about using these up.

Yeah I bought brass to reload that was supposed to be steady sized. I think the head space is off a little. Need to sort them out or just start with some different ones all together

Heard of a trick to wrap the shoulder/neck with some dental floss to get them to fire, then hopefully blown out shoulder that will work. Have also heard of using those dental brace type rubber bands but may make a mess of the chamber (just have to clean it).

I have a bunch i purchased that were made from 223 brass. Haven't loaded any yet. Hopefully i don't run into similar problems.

Assume you're getting light firing pin strikes on the misfires, Sean?
Hadn't heard of the thread to get the cases to fire, but that would work. Another way to correct cases that have excessive headspace is to pull the bullets out far enough to contact rifle, thus holding case head back against bolt.
Two things of concern come to mind in a gas gun.
1. If bolt slams shut on a round that is not fully seated in chamber in a gas gun you run the risk of a slamfire.
2. If you pull the bullet out to contact rifling it will increase chamber pressure, so not advisable if you're already running hot loads.

They came back last night about 2:30 and I got a boar. Didn’t get video. I thought I was hitting record but guess not.

If the brass datum is short. I would pull the bullets, use cream of wheat fire form method. Turn off gas block if you can, or remove it. Is blackout brass expensive?

Got up early this morning to turkey hunting and shot 3 more hogs in yard after a misfire on the first one. The second one dropped in his tracks, the first and third ran. I couldn’t find the first and third in the dark.

I found the first when I got back home, but never found the third. They were both small ones about. 25-30 pounds.

Heard 2 gobblers but both were on private property and season ends tomorrow.
