Colorados vote to limit furbearer take

I was reading that CO has limited furbearer harvest to two per day on public land, including coyotes.

Anyone have more info on this?

I spent 45 min on the phone with Colo DOW. As of September 1st, a hunter can harvest 2 furbearers of each species, per day. This would include coyotes.
I talked with the main office in Denver, the regional office in Lamar, and the local officer in Lamar.
I was also told by the regional office in Lamar that it was a possibility that Prairie dogs could also fall under this new law, but they could not confirm that.
I’m embarrassed to be a resident of Colorado more & more every day.

I didn’t say they were on the furbearer list. I just passed on info that was given to me over the phone from the DOW. I never thought there would be a limit placed on coyotes in Colo. But here we are. And do you think the people who voted this policy into the regulations, wouldn’t want to put a limit on prairie dogs? It’s the same agenda.

I'm only saying that the new limits are only for those species on the furbearer list. A prairie dog limit would fall into a whole other circus. when they established a season on them it was bad enough but yes, in time anything may happen. Keep in mind some of the most uniformed people are the ones answering the phone.

With a bit of luck, my shooting 'at' coyotes each day will be similar to years past, but, I bet I'll 'miss' a bunch more going forward, lol.

Then it will be something more next year and a liitle more after that. Their globalist plan is to ban all hunting, ranching and farming.

It's a slow incremental coup in my opinion.

So, if a triple comes to your call, you are screwed.

At some point, you just have to follow the laws you agree with. In Hellifornia, they banned lead ammo for hunting. I used to love hunting jackrabbits with my AR. It was common for me to shoot 100 rounds a trip as I walked the deserts kicking them up. There was no way I was going to spend the money necessary to do that with copper ammo.

So, I ignored their bullsh*t laws. Then, I ultimately left that hellhole.

Embrace your inner outlaw.

What do you say on government overreach :)

Hell, I know plenty of guys that still hunt waterfowl with lead shot.
Garentee you.., WAY more waterfowl are killed n lost with steelshot then die from eating lead shot!
Good on ya Dave3006!

I once went 56mph in a 55 zone.:ninja:

Great point borkon. When I first started hunting ducks in 2007, my very first thought the first trip was "this steel shot sucks!" I lost count of how many ducks took a hit and just kept flying.

Plus, I don't buy the BS line that lead is hurting the animals.

I wasn't joking. Embrace your inner outlaw. When President AOC and VP Buttplug come to power in 2028, they are coming for us. Consider little acts of rebellion now practice for the future when you will need to go big.
