Darts through the ages… not that anyone cares, but.. left to right …
21 gram (late 80’s early 90’s
24 gram (slim barrel, knurled. Never quite liked them)
24 gram (slightly heavier, shorter barrel) shot these for over 20 years! Hammerhead points are hard to come by, so…

Just purchased a new set of 24 gram (Right) darts that are taking some getting used to!

The best possible way to put this thread to rest!… I had friends over last night for drinks and darts. Bourbon, beer and lots of laughs. Great night ended around 1:30 AM

Woke up this morning, showered, went to garage to assess the damage. Not terrible other than an unfinished glass of bourbon. Not to go down without a fight, I drank it! Grabbed my darts and threw a 180 maximum!

Great way to start my weekend!

In 1961 Ft Polk AMU traveled to Ft Bliss for an NRA regional high power match. The night before the first day of matches I was coerced into going to Juarez "for dinner and a drink". I refused to drive my vehicle across the river, even back then so rode w/some other team members. Big mistake......well after midnight and quite a few Margeritas, was finally able to convince the bunch that 0530 was going to come soon and all day in the sun on Donna Ana range was not going to be very welcoming.
I shot my best score ever that day, by quite a lot! And that was in spite of having to shoot between the dust devils crossing the range between the 600 yard firing line and the target pits in that scorching heat. Hmmm that alcohol must have been responsible, so, when offered a ride, I decided that I would try that again . Let's just say that it did not work on day 2 and let it go at that. Some things are best forgotten!

We use to shoot wood strike anywhere matches out of our bb/pellet guns at each other, skipping them off the sidewalk or asphalt to light them. Also cut shotgun shells in half and just shooting the wads at each other.

We would pour the shot out of shotgun shells, then stuff a balled up wad of masking tape in the hull and shoot those at each other. The tape balls would be on fire and would sometimes stick to you . We even did that in the house once. Just once.
