Three down and one to go

Been bedding rifles this week. First was my Christensen 6.5CM, then my CZ 22 Hornet and just finished doing my Sako 22-250. I was running short on Marinetex and hopefully had enough to do the job. If it isn't to my liking I'll give it another dose. I need to buy more so I can do my triple deuce.

William, have you ever bedded an older Ruger 77?
If so, are they easy/ difficult to do?

I have, but since it was my first and only bed job, i have nothing to compare difficulty to.

The R77 has an angled recoil lug/screw setup?? That would be much different that a M700 pillar job. I found a good deal on a HS precision stock for my Lilja barreled M700, going to shoot it before full bedding job. I only bedded the lug area on my 7saum Sendero with HS stock.

I have and don't plan on doing another. They can be a real PITA. At least for me they were.

The Sako turned out pretty good. Not as good as I was hoping but I ran short on compound. Hazards of doing stuff on Sunday. I'll go to the marina Tuesday and get some more compound and do a touch up. One Shot spray really does a great job for release agent. That action came right out and was no bedding on the action at all.

Didnt think of one shot, I have a rem 700 I need to bed here soon.

I've been using One Shot as a release agent for some time now. Being a spray it lets you get into places that's hard to reach with wax. I usually give it two or three shots and a little inside the action. Barreled action usually pops right out and very little clean up.
