Does anyone use magnum rifle primers with stick powders in non magnum calibers. I would like to shift to just keeping Federal 215s on hand and use them in all of my big rifles. I don't see a problem unless it would be with absolute max loads. I do my load development in the summer so I should see pressure earlier in the heat.
 
In cartridges that take SRP I use magnum primers in all but the 22H, 218B and reduced loads using shotgun powder.

In cartridges that take LRP I used to use Fed 215 Mag primers in the 7mm RM, 300 Win Mag and 358 Norma, those have gone down the road. Now I use Winchester LRP in everything that needs LRPs, they have the highest brisance of the standard LRPs.

I started using Magnum primers living in northern MN, I had a room in my horse barn to shoot out of in the winter it was un heated but I could still shoot out of the wind, temps of -30 were fairly common the coldedest I saw on the thermometer was -59. We hunted fox all winter on skis.
 
I sold anything/everything that took magnum primers several years ago.

If I hadn't bought another 6.5 PRC last year, I didn't have anything left that even took regular large rifle primers.

How many grains of powder are you using? For me when I start loading much over about 60 grains of powder is when I start regularly using Fed 215's or CCI 250's.
