Been looking into 1280 res optics since they came to market.
First scopes and then spotters.
Heavy binocular LRF style were the first to appear and I didn't think about getting one because of the size, weight, cost and proprietary batteries.
In the past year some 1280 res monoculars have hit the shelves so I gave them a look.

Lowest Price and uses 18650 batteries, but it's two inches longer than my current monocular and it won't fit in my current chest pack.
Even though I haven't gotten confirmation this monocular is going to be available in the US anytime soon, I'm going to add this one to the list because it has a great feature that I think is essential in a spotter and that's a generous 25.5 x 20 FOV with the 35mm F0.9 lens that will transition to a 70mm F1.1 lens with a twist of a collar.

Like the generous FOV and Dial lens system, but I don't know if it'll be available in the US, it's expensive, too big dimension wise and weighs too much.
A buddy has the iRay Rico Pro scope that uses dual lens technology and he really likes the dual lens feature.
I don't know what the recoil effects on all of those moving parts will do over time, but I think it's a great feature for a monocular that isn't subjected to recoil.
While it's great that there's a lot of choices for 1280 res monoculars using 18650 batteries as a power source, I'm still waiting for them to get smaller dimension wise.
I like to travel light and don't want to use a baby carrier as a chest pack and all of these optics are longer and at least a 1/2 pound or more heavier than my current AGM ReachIr LRF monocular.
