i was juss wondering and maybe be a stupid ? but can u call in a mink ? have any of u happen to do this before ? if so tell me the details of what call u used and the sound, the setup , the technique.

I certainly wouldn't call it a stupid question.
I think they're mainly nocturnal, so you'd have a better chance at night. I just don't know if they'd respond to the sound or not though. Maybe go with a bird or rodent sound to be less intimidating?
I know people have called in raccoons. I called in a possum once.
I'd say get near a body of water, like a creek or river, locate some mink sign so you know they're around, and give it a try.
Then post pics!

I have wondered myself. I just bought a baby mink distress tape and am going to try it. I worked for 4 years on a mink farm and usually if we caught one and it made any noise others would come.

I have tried calling escapees from a neighboring farm, but have not had much success. Just before dark they are running all over the place. I shoot them off the front porch. They are tough little devils. I have found dead ducks in my front yard that mink have killed. I watched one swim across my pond chasing my ducks. Their pelts are worth good money this year.

im using a .223 with 52gr. BTHP im guessing this wont be to fur friendly but u guys tell me what u think will happen.

You mean like this one?

I called in 3 or 4 of them this summer, while vacationing in Wisconsin. My wife took the picture while I was working 'em. I was using a high pitched distress sound on an open reed. I also had good luck doing a mink distress on a rodent call of mine. Inquisitive little suckers.
