Ok i went to a sporting goods sore in Reno lookinf for some "pellgunoil" for maintenance my Benjamin 397. The guy told me all they are wanting is just not to use a petroleum distilate based oil to protect the seals that are safe using a silicone based oil. That made sence to be but what he said next did not. He said all I realy need to is some extra virgin olive oil and use it instead. Anyone ever heard of this? have a better sugestion? and yes I know I can simply order some "pellgunoil" online. I'm seriously considering gettin some olive oil.

I read something about this on one of the airgun forums. Sorry, don't remember the link. I would search Google for airgun forums and see what those guys are doing. They have some serious pellet guns out there these days.

You might also call Benjamin/Sheridan and ask.

Thanks for the info guys. In case anyone seen this post and is wondering, I just got off the phone and I was told the olive oil would work in a pinch but not to be used all the time cause it's thicker. So I just went ahead and ordered the oil I needed. Again, thanks for the info.
