I have currently a barrel for an AR15. The problem is that where the gasport is located, the barrel diameter is about .500". Is it possible to find a gasblock that will fit on this diameter???

Bandit, while I LOVE this place, I would post that question at www.ar15.com /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Those guys eat, sleep, and breathe ARs. Oh, did I mention that they like ARs?

LOTS of knowledgeable folks on here, but over there you're surrounded on all 4 sides by AR fanatics. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

yep, ar15.com is the place to go. Not only can they tell you exactly what you need, you will probably find it in the Equipment Exchange there. Good luck.

The smallest GB I've seen has been .750". That's what they all started out at, the M-16's and now the M-4's. Armalite uses .860" on their "T" model uppers, and the bull profile is normally around .936" or .938". Never heard of one as small as .500". Let us know if you find one!

I've got a LW barrel on my AR and the gas block is .625. I've never seen one smaller listed anywhere. However, it doesn't mean that they do not exist. MI VHNTR

Please disregard. When I asked the barrel owner what diameter the barrel was at the gas port, he measured the threads at the muzzle. The barrel is .750
Thought I was in for a nightmare!
