I bought one in 7mm-08 with the muzzle brake right after Magnum Research sold out their remaining stock to a liquidator (don't remember their business name) for something like $300. It was the last one the liquidator had in stock in 7mm-08. I will get it out of the safe and post a picture of it tomorrow.
I put a Burris 2-7x long eye relief scope on it. Another person I know has a Leupold 2.5-8x long eye relief that I like much better. I also installed a stud on the forearm for my Harris Bipods.
Corbon did make shells called "Single Shot Hunter" that were reduced powder rounds for these short barrel pistols shooting centerfire ammunition. They supposedly have all the powder that the short barrels will burn (maximum muzzle velocity) without the excess for reduced recoil compared to normal loadings. About the time I purchased the Lone Eagle, I found that Corbon was discontinuing the line so I called and purchased everything they had left which was about 20 packs of 10 rounds.
I mounted an aluminum plate on my rifle sight vise for the butt of the Lone Eagle to sit on to sight it in. I was able to hold 1.5 inch 5 shot groups at 100 yards, which I thought was very good especially since I couldn't hold it but so steady. In an adequate vise, I am sure the thing will shoot MOA groups.
I will probably take it coyote hunting this weekend when I take my 14 year old son with his rifle. When I bought it, it was legal for our muzzle loader/slug shotgun/pistol 2 and 3 day gun seasons in the area of Arkansas I hunt. The year after I bought it, the Arkansas Game and Fish changed the rules and it is not a legal weapon except during regular gun seasons in different zones than what I normally hunt. I have never shot a deer with it but have shot one coyote and one fox that just happened by when I was deer hunting.
With the muzzle brake and Single Shot Hunter ammunition it is a pleasure to shoot as far as recoil. The short barrel and muzzle brake make it extremely loud though. I recently purchased a pair of the Pro-Ears Stalker Dimension 2 electronic muffs which will take care of the racket.
