I am really contemplating putting one on my AR. I found the one i want I just want some info from all you who have tried them or know someone who has. I am looking at the game seeker 3.5X10X50 with their presicion plex reticle.
What do you guys think?

I just got my first Pentax (3X9X40 presicion plex) about 3 weeks ago. I am VERY impressed with this scope. It's clear, bright and seems to track EXTREAMLLY well when making adjustments. Very positive audio clicks when turning the knobs too. I swear I think it's clearer than my Luepys. It is made in China though. If that bothers ya, you probably outta look at something else.

I have the 6 power fixed Pentax Gameseeker on my Rem 700 in 7mm Rem Mag and it trackes well and i have had zero problems with it. Pentax is a great scope. I also have the 3x9 Lightseeker on my Ruger 77 in 240 Wby and it has performed perfect on this rifle. I don't believe you can beat the Gameseeker for the price. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Sweet, Pentex 3.5X10 it is then. I am going to order it tommorrow then. Woo hoo I am getting stoked to get my AR and every week I am am waiting so long for it.

I HAVE 3 and I swear by them I have Leupold vaxi XIII older Redfields (made in USA) Nikonsm busnells, and a lot more........None compare for the price I can PROMISE YOU.......they have a lifetime warranty too.....NO questions asked.....buy one.......I almost want to keep the secret to myself so the price wont go up on them...

I did not know that they had a lifetime warranty, but this is even more fuel for the fire. I can't wait until tommorrow then to get it on it's way.

You really don't need a 50mm objective. In low light conditions you will be on low power where a 40mm objective will be just as bright as a 50. The 40 will also give a bit more accurate view as the 50 makes flaws in the lens show up more. Also the 40 is probably cheaper, lighter, and easier to mount.

I love the Pentax scopes..even the low end Game Seekers are fantastic for the money. Decent glass with excellent light transmission as well as toughness. All my lever guns from .30-30 up to my 450 Marlin wear the 1.75x5x20 gameseekers. If they can hold up to the recoil and shock of the .450 Marlin, they are tough. I am also starting to replace some of my older optics with the Game seeker 3x9x40s.

Well this is the deal, a 40 mm objective was my first choice but Cabelas was out of them, I have enough club points on my cabelas club card to make the scope nearly free to me. Mounting won't be a problem because it is going I my Dtech when I get it with some highrise 1 1/2" scope mounts. But I do realize unless you hunt highly wooded ares that it is very dark all the time 50mm objectives are not needed. The other reason also is that I want to put a sunshade on it and to this point I can't find one for the 40mm Pentx scopes. Unless they are universal from scope to scope.

Yeah, you may not need it, but a 50 looks cool on an AR, especially with a sun shade...and looks are everything on an AR /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Archer I couldn't agree more here, AR have to look good and I do plan on getting a sunshade for the scope I ordered. By the way I did order one and if anyone wants some info on a guy I found that sells optics he will knock the socks off the competition, he saved me over 40$ on a 150$ pentax scope.

E.Arthur Brown sells them pretty cheap. I got the 3x-9x-50 for my TC Omega. It has the precision plex and I paid $119 shipped. My boss got the 4.5x-14x-42mm? precision plex for his 280 rem and loves it. I haven't gotten to play with the Omega yet, but it sure is a clear scope.

I have a 4X16X50 for $129 with free shipping........Also all I heard was that bull about a wider field of view. IT A FACT that a larger scope is better for low light conditions and any seasoned hunter can shot it just as accurate as a 40 mm. Its probably not a good idea for a kid or new hunter to have anything larger that a 32mm. I bought into this junk and bought a 40mm then I bought 2 50mm and eventually sold my 40mm and lost money to get another 50. You wont be dissapointed with a 50 at all

Well I already got my scope from Fox Optics I ordered it Wednesday 3:30 pm they shipped that day and the mailman brought it to me today.
I am most impressed with the clarity and the looks of this scope, the precision plex is sweet and I can't wait to get it on my AR and get some rounds through it.
