I just got back from shooting my tikka t3 lite 22-250. I shot three different loads, rem. umc 50 gr. jhp, win. 50 gr. silver bt, and federal 55gr. nbt. The remington umc round shot .5 inch groups at 100 yards. Has anyone used this round on coyote before and if so, what did you think? Also if anyone can help me that has the software, I have got my tikka sighted in at .75 high at 100 yards with the 50 gr. jhp. What would be the trajectory from say 50yrds out to 300 yrds.? Thanks.

I've been shooting the Remington 50 grainers in my .22-250 and also in my AR in .223. If shot placement is proper it works great from either caliber. I hit one in the shoulder at 110 yards last summer from my .22-250 and the bullet left a 1.5 inch diameter entry wound. The coyote went down then got back up and hobbled into cover. It only went in about 10 yards and died. Seems to me that about any HP at 3500 FPS will splash on shoulder shots so I don't blame the ammo.
My AR likes the 50 grainers and will shoot them into an inch at 100 yards. Most other ammo groups about 1.5 inches from that same rifle.

Good hunting y'all.. Coyote 6974

I shot a bunch with the Rem 55g HP when I first started hunting yotes with great success. I know that the Rem 55g HP is a really great bullet for yotes.
