Predator Grand Slam

I was wondering if anyone out there had thought about a predator grand slam, kinda like the turkey or sheep one. I thought about it the other day when I missed a gray fox. So far this year I killed a coyote and red fox while bowhunting, and missed a bobcat with my bow. I guess I was so excited by getting a shot at the gray I called in I choked on the simple 75 yd(.22 hornet) broadside shot with a prop. So far most of my calling has been while bowhunting. I just sit there with a mouse squeaker and every 15 minutes or so I squeak. The next day after I missed the gray I called in 3 more grays but the wouldn't come any closer than 38 yds. I was on the ground in a blind and I'm pretty sure they had me made. It seemed as though they were all following the first one kinda like it may have been rut.
Has anyone had a Slam this year or ever?

Well we don't have many bobcats here in Pa and
didn't get a special permit this year so as far
as that goes than no I didn't. I did get a few
coyotes, fox(both red and grey) and a few coons,
do you count this as a predator grand slam?

Cory Smith, yes it has been thought of before. About two or three years ago I posted on the same subject, except it was about calling and taking a bobcat, coyote and grayfox on the same hunt or was it the same stand lol I forgot. Good Hunting

I read a while back about an organization up in New York offering a real nice prize for a Predator Grand Slam. I did a search on it and couldn't find anything about it today, but I know I saw it once upon a time... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Danny B, So I can assume you have done this before(bobcat, coyote and both species of fox.) on the same hunt. I just think it would be something special for us weekend hunters to be able to be in an area where all 4 species are prevelant enough to be called in and harvested.

Cory, we only have gray fox we can take in California. I'm talking three critters bobcat, coyote and grays, we could add a badger I guess lol. Yes, I've done it on a weekend hunt many times and on a stand a couple times. You must understand it took many years of hunting to do it and in some prime predator country at that. I don't know how good hunting back East is, but there are some places out West that hold all three animals. Getting all three on a weekend hunt is not real hard, but all three on one stand is. Good Luck and Good Hunting

Danny, I know from your post you have been hunting fro a pretty long time, and very experienced, What have been some of the major changes(from your point of view) over the past 15-20 yrs. and is hunting better now or then.
