Todd M. New member Sep 16, 2005 #4 1lb of powder equals 7000 grains. Reloading cartridges wtih 25 grains of powder at a time will yield 280 reloaded cartridges. Similarly, a .308 with 44 grains will allow about 159 cartridges to the pound.
