I'd like to clarify a few things so nobody is confused.
A lumen is a lumen, regardless of the country you measure it in, and is a measurement of light output.
Cree, is an American company that manufactures the worlds brightest LEDs in North Carolina.
Surefire, a company that makes(?) and sells flashlights, uses Cree LEDs, but the companies website gives no clues as to where they are made. Most American manufacturers have a link on their website for "careers".

That's why I asked if anyone has used it. If you look at the sellers website, there is a video of someone walking backwards with it shining on a wall. The 5 LED's are throwing a pretty wide beam up close, but as they keep backing up, the center of the beam keeps focusing tighter and tighter.
