17-204 30 grain with big game

I'm looking for some help guys. I've got a load worked up for my 17-204 with 30 grain Nagels with varget but just not getting quite the accuracy I want. Anyone have any info on ramshot big game with 30 grain bullets. I can't seem to find any data even for 17 Remington with big game to work up from. Thanks
 
I'm using Big Game with 30gr Bergers and Golds in my 17-204 you can start with 25 gr and work up, I would go up slow, I get higher velocity with BG but better accuracy with Varget
 
Running Big Game in my .17 Predator w/30's as well. Slightly less capacity than the .17-204. My load is 27.5 gr. for ~4050 fps with the Nagels and a bit faster with the Golds.

unless you have a stash of Big Game powder, you may be dissapointed. has not been available for several year.
 
I have a couple pounds. Wonder how it would do in the 17 rem. where did you guys find load data at? I love ramshot powders but finding them is a pain. I stumbled on to a place closing them out at $13 a pound. I bought all they had. On a plus note my local cabelas had exterminator the other day. I bought 2 pounds. Wanted to get more but left some for the next guy.

Didn't even look for any data. Since I was loading for a wildcat, for which no data exists. Just applied a little common sense and made it up like I usually do.
