Nothing wrong with the gun or ammo.. When you shoot ammo such as the 17 HMR in a short barrel the pressure is'nt high enough to fully form the brass like it does in a rifle.. My Rem. 596 has a shorter barrel than my Ruger clone and does the samething from time to time.. No big deal...
