Thanks guys,  I will send some pictures to Taurus and see what they say.  The cases are intact (not being blown off)....they are being fire formed in the cylinder. By shining a flash light into the cylinder I can see that it goes into a taper cut (no shoulder).   When I first pulled out the cases after shooting a cylinder full I thought...wow..they cut the chamber with the wrong reamer (a .22 mag reamer) then I got to thinking...maybe this was the way they were cutting hmr revolver cylinders.  This revolver is new so it must have slipped past the inspection part.
