17 HMR Semi-Auto

I am looking to get a 17 HMR in Semi-Auto for Coon hunting. What do you recommend.

I think you are pretty limited.

Volquartsen and maybe magnum research are the only ones I know of. I would buy a volquarsen if it was me.

My next HMR will be one of these:

Alexander Arms Upper.

Range reports are great with < 1 MOA being reported @ 100 yds.

Agreed. And at a much smaller price!

A lever or pump would be the way to go. I started out with 17hmr semi-auto which turned out to have a recall, so moved on to a bolt and then settled on a Ruger 96/17 for my coon calling rifle.

Volquartsen and Magnum Research are going to be about it for you.
I wouldn't recommend a HMR in a semi auto. They are a rifle cartridge combination that must be kept very clean. Out of battery firings with a semi HMR are very very common. That is why there aren't more offerings in the caliber. Same with the HM2.
You would serve yourself better with a 22 mag
