.17 Remington or a .17 Remington Fireball?

The 17 Mach-4 is pretty much the same as the 17 f.b. so i would say you already have one..LOL

The coyote in the third pic. was shot with my 17 Pred. at 300 yds and running.. The fur is mostly matted down from dragging it back to the truck plus soaked with a little blood. There was no damage done to the hide and it only required 3 stitches to fix it up..

As for a torn up hides these coyotes would make the list. They where shot with the famous 204 ruger..LOL

May sound stupid, but what if the range is below 200 yards 10% of the time and below 90 yards 89% of the time? Center fire just too much for the Lil foxes? Or choose rounds like.22hornet or .17hornet? Sounds stupid but I'm starting to care about hides. Just shot them incidentally while deer hunting or tending a cattle pasture before. .270 win makes a mess most of the time and when you recover them you usually have to bring a rake.

I have 2 .17 Remingtons and a .17 Fireball. Interestingly all 3 rifles shoot best at about 3800 fps with a 25 grain bullet.
