I am hopeful that one day we will not need tax stamps for the good stuff.

No one to collect for the stamps .
TRUMP WACK THE IRS WE WANT COOL TOYS!

They're kind of a POS with regard to their build quality but my HB SS Savage Bmag or Bgag as many call them is easily my favorite sage rat rifle. I had mine threaded right out of the box and I've been shooting it suppressed since. They aren't all that loud to begin with but slap a good can on one and they just make you smile every time you pull the trigger and the 17 WSM has a good bit more splat factor then does the 17 HMR.

So true the quality is way dow now days
All plastic bs on the in side guts and casting.

Same with the ruger 10-22 all plastic Lowe half fun a wile but wear out quickly .

On the Bmag the trigger housing is pretty much the only thing that is plastic but even so the quality of all the metal parts and pieces is, saying it politely as I can, not good and it's actually quite surprising they can be made to shoot as well as they do. I've done a little work to mine but with the exception of tuning on the trigger and having it threaded the barreled action is pretty much as it came from the factory. I feel very fortunate to have one that shoots really well because I know there are others that weren't so lucky.

I haven't heard much about Savage's new A17 17 WSM and how well they're shooting for folks but I have a HB Lam stock 17 HMR A17 and it shoots as well as my Sav. 93/17HMR bolt gun.
