Shot my first free range fox with my HMR this weekend and used the 20gr. GamePoint. I've been wanting the opportunity with this gun, but it usually gets passed over due to distance or coyote heavy areas. I was amongst houses and needed a smaller gun than the 17rem, so it got the nod. It was not the shot I like, but a chicken theif gets no breaks . The shot was a little wobbly, but it was a frontal shot at about 60yds. She was a decent sized red and was very slightly quartering to me. I didn't feel comfortable making the head shot with her bobbing around so much while being called at night, so I aimed at the V of her neck and exited back about middle of the ribs. She spun a few times, yelped, then flopped on the ground a few times. Dead within a few feet and a matter of seconds. It was the shot I usually avoid with this gun since there was no bone there. There was a pinhole entrance, a dime sized exit in the hide, and tons of blood in the chest cavity. No autopsy since it went back a ways toward the guts and I skinned her in the basement , but due to the amount of blood, I'm guessing the heart was hit. Bullet did as I expected, soft tissue allows it to penetrate with severe bruising around the exit and good blood loss. Hopefully I get a few more test subjects to cooperate soon .

Excuse the cheesy cell phone pics .
