1911 trigger ???

Last year I finally bought a 1911 45 ACP. I got the Remmy R1, I'm happy with it but the trigger has lots of creep. Can the trigger be modified or replaced to eliminate all that creep? I like the way my revolver triggers break when they're shot single action. Thanks, Mike

Your answer is Yes. If you have never worked over a hammer and sear on a 1911 I would leave it to someone else to do it for you. I was lucky and learned how to properly do a trigger job from Brian Enos and Rob Leatham in the early 90's. To get a trigger job that is light, crisp and reliable takes more that some guy telling you to stone the hammer and sear. I have some incredible triggers on my 1911's and that is what makes them so much fun to shoot.

Woman is right there is more to it, if you like to tinker and have the common sense to know to use cation after any mod. Then give it a try.

Modifying the sear will lighten the pull and take up the cheap, but be sure to check and double check your safety and hammer drop once back together.........don't put live round in it till you are at the range, and then only do two rounds to start, if you made a bad adjustment your 1911 could go full auto..better to happen with two rounds then 8.

Another option is to look at the infinity triglide trigger kit, it smooths out the creep and lighten the pull....it is titanium not steel so it flexes less.

Just my 2 cents, take it for what it's worth

Good day
