2 SQUIB LOADS BACK TO BACK

One of my co-workers sent me this picture yesterday. It is a picture of a 38cal revolver with the bullet just protruding from the end of the barrel. He said when he pulled that bullet out of the barrel he looked in the barrel there was another bullet stuck half way down the tube. What are the chances and the dumb luck of having two squib loads back to back? I told him he was just lucky. If the first squib would have been followed with a normal round he probably would have blown the gun up and probably part of his hands. He asked me why the rounds were so week and I told him they probably didn't have any powder in them and they were just fired with the primer only. I told him to call the company and let them Know about what happened because it is definitely a QC and HUGE safety concern. The ammo was UMC.

Most of his problems would have been solved if he had pulled the trigger the third time!

I would send the gun with bullets stuck back to the ammo manufacturer!

To be gentle......this particular individual doesn't have the intelligence to do something like this on his own

A long time ago I had a sqib load .22WMR in a pistol. I was very lucky that a friend was there to stop me from trying to shoot the pistol again.

Why would he have pulled the trigger after the first shot???

Surely it had to sound different and that's a big "Oh $hit something has got to be wrong!" But to pull the trigger again without finding out what was wrong with the first one shows the guys intelligence and I would stay away from him when he has a firearm!

He was very lucky that the second round was also a squib cause if it had been a full house round he'd be picking shrapnel out of face with the two fingers left on that hand! I had that happen -the bullet stuck at the barrels end in a 380 once! But I was wise/lucky enough to stop from pulling the trigger a second time!

After listening to some of his stories I never plan on shooting with him. He is 22 years old and knows everything about firearms. I have just learned to listen, shake my head and hope that he doesn't kill anyone or himself.

I had one on a 357 mag. The sound was WAY different. I don't see how anyone could pull the trigger again, but you said he wasn't very bright.

Cool picture.

In my own defense...I wouldn`t say I was stupid...ignorant maybe...I just figured it was less powered..didn`t dawn on me the possibility of the bullet being stuck in the barrel, Like I said "lucky a more experienced friend was there". I know better now...difference between stupid and ignorant.
