I do realize this thread is 3 plus years old, but what kind of range can one expect, 200-300 yds or?Pop, we have used these Midland radios for several years without issue.

This is extremely common among groups running hounds. We started using use Baofeng radios almost 10 years ago now. Way better distance than any Motorola or Midland radio we've used in the past, but still gets deteriorated by thick cover or rolling terrain. There is a new radio out called Rapid Radios that is a true 2-way radio but uses T-Mobile (I think) towers and works nationwide. I haven't got my hands on one yet, but these will hands down be the best overall choice.Radios? Headsets? Dang, y'all get serious about some coyotes.

Got a new place to hunt Axis and WT and cell phones are spotty at best. This will help me communicate with each of my family members hunting from stands to keep everyone safe, etc.Radios? Headsets? Dang, y'all get serious about some coyotes.
Totally depends on terrain, like only to the next hill or maybe a mile, which ever is closer in line-of-sight.I do realize this thread is 3 plus years old, but what kind of range can one expect, 200-300 yds or?
Flat with pastures and large patches of cedarsTotally depends on terrain, like only to the next hill or maybe a mile, which ever is closer in line-of-sight.
Correction, they use the LTE network which uses all cell towers allowing them to be nationwide.uses T-Mobile (I think) towers and works nationwide.
I don't think you'll have any luck with that, Mr. Pop. I've tried and tried, but the coyotes seem to be on a different frequency down here. Had a lot better luck w/Foxpro.2-way radios for Coyote calling.
You lost me HM???I don't think you'll have any luck with that, Mr. Pop. I've tried and tried, but the coyotes seem to be on a different frequency down here. Had a lot better luck w/Foxpro.Sorry, couldn't resist..........
