200 yard gophers

Used 223s to blast gophers off of our deck yesterday. Primos trigger sticks with Spartan Magnaswitch and some hand loads really makes them do some flips. Tried to get a magpie that was cleaning up the carcasses but only a poof of feathers…maybe next time…they’re impossible to hit with a rifle.

Totally Legal to do such here in Saskatchewan, Kanuckistan.

Legal to shoot in USA if they are acting as a nuisance….thats all the time for those birds…

Hit one at 165 yards, thought we’d better go inspect closer. There was mist across the cow path, head out to look and a fox runs off with what was left of the gopher. Can’t make this stuff up. Foxes get a free pass here.

Thats a poke for a gopher. 20yrs ago I mounted my sony handy cam on top of a scope. it looked goody but it worked for starlings in the yard. One was walking around and poof 40gr v max mist.
