At one of the gun shows a bit back I bought 3 bags of "once fired" 243 brass from Georgia arms. I finally broke the bags open the other day and started sizing, trimming, etc. etc. One of the bags had brass with necks too tight for the expander ball. Tried another...and another then got out the calipers. 46 in a bag of 50 were headstamped 243win and the overall case looks just like a 243 side by side, but the measurements are not 243. Inner neck diameters were .225 to .229 and outer necks were .260 to .265. Quick Google search showed results for 22-243, so I'm guessing that's what I've got. Anyone confirm or know what it is?
Regardless, I called Georgia Arms and spoke with Kim (she answered the phone). She wanted to talk to one of their guys (I believe Justin) but had to call me back. 24 hours later Kim calls and Georgia Arms is going to send me another bags of "once fired" 243 at no charge! They didn't need to see pictures or want the brass sent back, just going to make it right. I don't go to many gun shows, but I'm sure to stop by their booth when I do from now on.
